What an incredible year. Looking back on it all, our biggest take away is the people we’ve met. We love everything about being behind the camera, but the side conversations, dinners with our couples and relationships is truly what make us crave our job. However, its time to take the spotlight off our couples, and put it on ourselves for a change of pace.
Our 2014 was very busy. We ended up shooting just north of 50 weddings between the two of us, and while its been a blessing to be able to work with my wife, we’ve tested each other’s patience a few times. Bickering over who gets to take the 85mm to their wedding. The glare from across the room when I accidentally… errr purposely photo bomb her shot. Arguing over who has to be the light tester and who gets to shoot the epic sunset.
The phrase for this year has been “Wow. We spend a lot of time together.” We wouldn’t change a thing about it though. With that being said, we wanted to share some photos that wouldn’t normally see the light of day. When we’re not shuffling wedding parties and posing brides, we’re getting our dress shoes a bit muddy, climbing unclimable objects for better angles, practicing our sick dance moves, and trying to grab the most attractive photo possible of each other.
A huge shout out to Dave, Haley and Taylor for their help this year… and for some of these outtakes.
