Chris & Elisa’s beautiful Larkspur Vail Wedding had all the excitement & emotion and even a little bit of rain. Their ceremony was officiated by Chris’s sister, which made it all that more special. Their guests were laughing and crying as they tried to hide from the rain. Shortly after their ceremony, the sun came out and the reception began. It didn’t take long for the tears to flow as Elisa’s sister signed ‘It’s a beautiful world’ as a surprise to the couple.
It was important to Chris & Elisa to spend as much time as they could with their guests so they opted for a day after session. This allowed us to focus on documenting their day as they mingled with guests. We ended up meeting on Sunday evening for portraits on Shrine Pass. Everyone was a little tired and getting back in the wedding attire was an adventure in itself but it’s always exciting to explore new spaces for some different portraits you aren’t able to get on a traditional wedding day. We caught some amazing light, wildflowers and even found a few lost sheep.
Thank you, Chris and Elisa, for allowing us to be part of your weekend and document such an important time in your life. Also, a big thanks to Artisian Events for putting on an amazing event, Larkspur for hosting us in your beautiful space and to Tunisian Band for an amazing dance.
