In regard to wedding decks in Colorado, most of them are beautiful, but few are as beautiful as the Holy Cross Wedding Deck. It gets it’s name from Mt. of the Holy Cross, a gnarly 14er in the northern Sawatch Range. Enough about mountains though.

On your wedding day, your guests will use the Eagle Bahn Gondola, also known as #19, to get to your mountain-top ceremony. Upon exiting the ski lodge, it’s a short walk over to the wedding deck itself. Not interested in walking? Vail Resorts has you covered with complimentary golf cart rides.

During the later summer months, this surrounding area is covered with beautiful wildflowers, but please be respectful of the delicate alpine ecosystems.

Our one suggestion if you are thinking about using the Holy Cross Wedding Deck is to consider an early morning or afternoon ceremony time. Mid-day sun on top of a mountain with no shade can be a bit harsh for photos and your guests.
